Tara Welch of Tara Welch Photography is one of the best and coolest photographers we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Her innovative style, coupled with a fantastic sense of humor, helps puts couples at ease on one of the biggest days of their lives. Named as one of Rangefinder Magazine’s 30 Rising Stars, she’s won numerous awards and accolades over the years for her adventurous photography. We truly enjoy working with her, and can’t recommend her enough. When we show up at a wedding and see Tara, we know it’s going to be a rocking good time.
We worked with Tara Welch Photography during Sara and Joseph’s wedding at the Witte Museum in San Antonio, TX. By day, the Witte is a treasure trove of regional and Texas art and natural history. It’s also a popular destination for children and school field trips as they begin to study the natural sciences. At night, the courtyard is transformed into a magical wedding venue, complete with dance floor and bistro lighting. Sara and Joseph’s wedding was a cross-cultural affair, featuring both Hispanic South Texas influences (Mariachis!) mixed with Italian New York details (a cannoli bar!).
San Antonio is, of course, a city rich with history. Recently, we’ve seen it become just as popular a destination for weddings as our home base of Austin, TX. While your guests are in town, they can enjoy a leisurely walk along the San Antonio Riverwalk, visit the Alamo and surrounding mercados downtown, or catch a San Antonio Spurs game. Hill Country DJ travels all over this great state, so don’t be afraid to ask for a quote for your wedding!
