We’ve had the honor and privilege of performing at Mercury Hall weddings and events countless times. The venue is a gorgeous repurposed church, complete with stained-glass windows and white wooden shiplap interior. They still hold religious services at the venue, as well as weddings, corporate events, parties, and other gatherings. The space is at once warm and inviting, and has a classic “Austin” feel. Nestled in a residential neighborhood in South Austin, you’d never even know it’s there.
The first thing you’ll notice as you approach Mercury Hall are the beautiful grounds. Surrounded by an enchanting grove of bamboo, the landscaping is meant to evoke a sense of hidden delight. There are two outdoor areas in which you can hold your wedding ceremony – under the ageless live oak trees, or on the gravel pavilion. Most couples also choose to have their cocktail hour on the back porch and surrounding areas while they take pictures with friends and family on the lawn. Photographers love the warm sunset light that trickles through the bamboo and trees.
Mercury Hall was built in 1904 in the small town of Mercury and later transported to its current home in south Austin, Texas. The interior is very versatile when it comes to wedding or event layout, and the management team will do everything they can to make you feel at home. Mercury Hall also allows you to choose all of your own vendors, so you can be sure to have the wedding or event of your dreams. Throughout the years, we’ve provided music for many fun weddings and events here. Brides love the venue because it is able to accommodate about 150 guests while still feeling intimate and “Austin-y”. We love playing here because the acoustics are great, and the resilient wooden floor is great for dancing. We’ve had so many amazing weddings at Mercury Hall, we can’t count them!
